CULTURAL EXPERIENCE / SUMMER 2027

Bring an imagined world to life.

Warwick2027

Two weeks of creative discovery on the University of Warwick campus. Explore Unreal Engine, animation and storytelling through a connected project, with time to experience university surroundings and discover London.

Run by CEA for students aged 16 and over, the programme brings practical making together with the adventure of studying somewhere new.

Life around the campus

Warwick's green campus near Coventry gives the programme a setting beyond the classroom. Warwick Arts Centre is part of the wider university landscape, alongside study, research and student life.

All three intakes study at Warwick. The second and third also stay on campus, bringing the residential and teaching experience together. The first stays in Coventry, offering a different base for the same creative programme.

A day in the capital

The included London excursion opens another view of Britain, from the scale of the city to its architecture and cultural life.

A Warner Bros. Studio Tour London visit is also planned, offering a closer look at the sets, costumes, visual effects and model-making behind screen storytelling.

CREATIVE MEDIA

Follow an idea from character to screen.

Build a world that can move

Unreal Engine connects character creation, world-building, animation and a playable game element within an integrated Creative Media project. Students explore how visual choices and digital storytelling work together, developing ideas through practical creative work.

Virtual production and visual effects (VFX) extend the programme into screen-based storytelling and a short film. The emphasis is on making: giving an imagined world a form that others can see and experience.

Make the process visible

Work towards a rendered short film, a portfolio page and an Unreal Engine project. Portfolio development runs alongside the creative work, while careers awareness and a showcase help students consider the wider field and share what they have made.

Each intake includes two weeks of teaching, with a maximum of 24 students. Teaching is planned within Fusion / Warwick Esports Centre.
