The Completion Engineering Association (CEA) is delighted to be sponsoring a 'Completion Performance' Symposium later in the Fall:

Title: Completion Performance Symposium

Date: Tuesday 9th & Wednesday 10th November 2010

Location: Houston (venue TBC)

This symposium provides a unique opportunity for:

- The experts of the industry to debate the latest Completion Performance best practices, developments and industry issues
- Young completion engineers to learn, experience and help forge the future for Completion Performance (16 hours of Course/Activity PDH/CEU credit, except in states of New York and Florida)

Session 1: Operational Performance

Rig-site techniques to enhance/measure performance; use of real-time data centers, time & cost management, performance measures (e.g., NPT), learning curve effects, case histories

Session 2: Well Performance

Well performance metrics to gauge success; pre-job design and on-site completion methods to enhance/ensure productivity, inflow & outflow design processes and performance metrics, lifecycle design considerations, concept selection and design optimization, case histories

Session 3: Reliability

Processes for completion selection to ensure optimum lifecycle reliablity; well design, equipment reliability, post-completion reliability issues, reliability analysis, case histories

Session 4: Dissemination & Benchmarking

Processes and methods to enhance knowledge transfer; use of benchmarking, company-wide databases, knowledge-sharing tools (both within and across organizations)
